R.D Teka Senior Citizens Care and Support Association​

R.D Teka Senior Citizens Care and Support Association is a legal association in the Tigray and federal level registered by the Federal democratic republic of Ethiopia Agency for Civil Society Organization and has been established with the aim of care and supporting elders in their Economic, Social, and Cultural Affairs in an organized manner to improve their livelihood. Our organization was established on July 03, 2019 with the aim of supporting elders and women directly impacted by war (War victims) who are facing social and economic challenges. Our organization mainly works on the improvement of their livelihood, economic and political empowerment of women and elder war victims to be more competitive in their lives.

Mission

To ensure that senior citizens living in poverty and vulnerable situations in the intervention areas will have access to elderly friendly income generating activities and basic services and then the fundamental human needs like shelter, health, recreation… of senior citizens are being met; the abilities/capacities of elderly people to transfer their experiences/strengths to the next generation and their participation in development activities is being enhanced/strengthened.
